Tis the season to grow a belly, and that's why we'll be indulging in all our favourite Japanese food over the festive holidays! You might not be able to persuade your family to sacrifice the traditional Christmas day roast for a Japan inspired feast this year, but we can guarantee these delicious bite-sized canapes will go down a storm at a Christmas eve or New Years Eve party - serve them up with sake cocktails!

1. Japanese Chicken Meatballs

Meatballs made with minced chicken are combined with bold Asian flavours like garlic, ginger, oyster sauce and sesame. They're served dribbled with a tasty, savory tomato sauce too. Add a cocktail stick to make them party worthy! 
2. Japanese Crackers with Edamame Dip

The perfect bar-food style snack, these morish little crackers are perfectly crisp and flavoured with honey, soy sauce and sesame seeds. The Edamame dip they are served with is a concoction of edamame with miso and chili. Yum!
3. Barbecue Nori Prawns with Lemon Soy

Simple, but ever so effective. Grab a griddle pan and cook these prawns simply in sesame oil, then serve with a gorgeous lemony dipping sauce that compliments them perfectly. It's so easy to make, but these will be eaten on sight!
4. Tempura Salmon with Wasabi Mayo and Radish

Whip up some instant tempura batter and get some really good salmon fillets from the fishmonger - this recipe deserves fresh as you can get! The crisp salmon is complimented perfectly by the fiery, yet refreshing, mayo topping and the radish helps to cool the heat.
5. Tuna Tartare With Nori Chips

Nachos get a glam makeover with this recipe, the nori is dipped in a light better before being fried to the ideal crisp consistency. The perfect way to enjoy some yummy fresh tuna!
